PARIS (KTXL) – He has 15 X Games gold medals and six world titles.

Now he is an Olympic medalist.

Nyjah Huston won bronze in the men’s street skating final in Paris on Monday, finishing the event with a total score of 279.38.

Japan’s Yuto Horigome won the gold medal with a score of 281.14, while American Jagger Eaton (who won bronze in Tokyo three years ago) finished with a score of 281.04 to win the silver medal.

Nyjah Huston, who hails from Davis, began skateboarding when he was just five years old. He is competing in his second Olympics. Three years ago, he failed to win a medal in Tokyo, finishing seventh despite being ranked number one in the world. He has struggled with injuries in recent years, tearing a ligament in his wrist a few days before the Tokyo Olympics and later tearing an ACL in 2022.

The men’s street skating competition was originally scheduled for Saturday in Paris, but was moved to Monday due to rain.
