SALINE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Highway Patrol reports westbound Interstate 70 is closed in part of Saline County due to a two-vehicle crash.

No information has been released yet about injuries. The crash occurred just west of the 244 mile marker turnoff, which goes to Hedville and Culver.

Officer Ben Gardner said westbound traffic should take exit 244 and be routed north via an alternate route.

KanDrive.gov, the Kansas Department of Transportation website, shows that the westbound closure is only a short distance. Drivers heading west from mile marker 238, Brookville Road, should not be affected.

Gardner posted a message on social media urging motorists to slow down and make way for emergency responders helping those involved in the crash.
