Rush Bowls 1st Union County Location Sets Opening Date

WESTFIELD, NJ — The wait is over! Fanwood couple Reginald and MaryAnne StaRosa’s are opening their first Rush Bowls Union County location this week.

“We are so excited to finally share our space with you and can’t wait to start serving our community meals made with the finest fruits, topped with granola and honey, and mixed with proteins, vitamins, and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle,” the StaRosas said.

A soft opening is planned for the location at 27 East Broad St. in Westfield on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., when visitors are welcome to help prepare staff and adjust logistics before the grand opening.

A grand opening will take place on Saturday from 10am to 8pm. The first 50 guests in line will receive a free Rush Bowl (limit 1 per customer).

“We’ll provide great music, a great atmosphere, and we can spin the wheel for more chances to win prizes and perks!” the StaRosas said.

The StaRosas decided to open a Rush Bowls franchise in Downtown Westfield because they both have a passion for healthy eating and have always dreamed of becoming entrepreneurs.

Founded in 2004 in Boulder, Colorado, Rush Bowls is a franchise chain that offers “meals made with the finest fruits, topped with granola and honey, and mixed with proteins, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste great while promoting a healthy lifestyle.”

MaryAnne StaRosa said they loved the “healthy, fresh concept” of Rush Bowls and that they found their food “super delicious.” She said Westfield is a “health-conscious” community and thought Rush Bowls would be a “great addition to Westfield.”

“Rush Bowls are all unique, packed with fruits, vegetables, and unique combinations of delicious ingredients to highlight the essential superfoods. Rush Bowls are much healthier than the traditional fast casual meal that is usually served with fries. They can optionally include protein and are low in calories and fat,” the StaRosas say.

What makes Rush Bowls unique is that they offer over 25 blended fruit bowls and smoothies, all of which you can customize to suit your dietary needs.

The Rush Bowls menu consists of various fruit bowls, smoothies, quick snacks and even bowls for your four-legged friend.

In addition to offering healthy meal replacements and pre- or post-workout products, the couple also wants to give back to the community.
