Pennsylvania man arrested after attempted break-in at state office in Hartford

A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after an attempted break-in at the Connecticut State Office Building in Hartford, state police said.

State police said Christian Gonzalez, 43, entered a high-tension area and triggered an alarm.

According to police, Gonzalez did not enter the building.

State officials said the building will remain closed today because several building systems were affected by the break-in.

Both the Attorney General and the Minister of Foreign Affairs have an office there.

According to police, it was not a targeted incident.

They said there is no danger to the public or employees working in the building.
