Francois to Lead SummitMedia Urban & Gospel Programming

SummitMedia has named J’Michael Francois Vice President of Programming for R&B and Gospel. Francois joins from Cumulus Media, where he served as Operations Manager and multi-station PD for the Baton Rouge and New Orleans clusters for 18 years. During his tenure there, he led KQXL-FM to the market’s #1 Urban AC position and WEMX-FM to the market’s #1 Urban Mainstream position. He also programmed the cluster’s Gospel station WXOK-AM.

In this new role, he will oversee WAGG-AM in Birmingham, WBHK (98.7 Kiss) in Birmingham, WJMZ (107.3 JAMZ) in Greenville and WRKA (103.9 The Groove) in Louisville. Francois will also work on audience growth and engagement.
