Former Oklahoma State All-American WR James Washington gets another chance in the NFL

STAGNANT WATER – I heard this was going to happen on practice day at Oklahoma State on Sunday, but I couldn’t find any collaboration until Monday (July 29), but former Oklahoma State All-American and Biletnikoff Award winner James Washington is getting another chance in the NFL

The Atlanta Falcons are signing Washington, reports NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo. Washington spent two seasons with Falcons wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard in Pittsburgh. The Falcons’ offensive coordinator is also familiar with Washington.

Washington and Zac Robinson are both former Oklahoma State players, but from different years. Robinson was at OSU from 2005-09 and was the starting quarterback his final three seasons. Washington played later and caught most of his passes from current Tennessee Titans quarterback Mason Rudolph when the two played in the same offense in Stillwater.

Washington was traded to Dallas, but suffered multiple injuries and ultimately required season-ending surgery.

Washington has played in just two games over the past two seasons, the last coming on Dec. 18, 2022. He was left out of the team last season after both the Saints and Colts released him in August.

He hasn’t caught a single pass since then.

He was selected in the second round by the Steelers in 2018 and has 114 receptions for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career.
