Crews extinguish small fire at Montgomery County Correctional Facility

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Maryland.DC News Now) — Montgomery County officials said no one was injured after a fire broke out at the correctional facility near Clarksburg Tuesday morning.

In a post on XDavid Pazos of Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said a report of a fire came in at 6:19 a.m. at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility at 22880 Whelan Lane.

There, emergency services found a small fire in the laundry room.

Officials said the fire was contained to one dryer and had been extinguished.
