Six arrested, one still wanted in investigation into Roseland drive-by shooting and murder-for-hire

ROSELAND — Officers have arrested six people and are searching for another suspect in a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier in July.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred on Monday, July 1. A man who was getting things out of his car was shot repeatedly by people driving by his home. He was not injured.

Officers learned that the man was a witness in another murder investigation and that the shooting was part of an attempted murder.

Six people have been arrested in connection with the shooting investigation: Broderick Coleman (19), Randall Brewer (32), Jermaine Henderson (45), Patricia Kirby (18), Mason Otero (21) and Justin Summerford (27). Coleman was arrested for attempted first-degree murder of a witness.

The seventh suspect, 26-year-old Khyle Deitch, is wanted for attempted first-degree murder of a witness.
