Suspicious barricades in home, Jefferson City police say

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) – Jefferson City Police are on scene of a barricade situation, according to department officials.

According to JCPD, police responded to the scene at Morrissett Avenue and State Route 92. WVLT News spoke with Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Coffey, who said his office is assisting but not leading the response.

JCPD also asked people to avoid the area.
