Engels of Roodhouse to hosts 14th Hummingbird Festival on Aug. 11

ROODHOUSE – The 14th annual Hummingbird Festival will be from 1 to 4 pm Aug. 11 at the home of Terry and Debbie Engel in Roodhouse.

While the farm is private property, the Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders event is open to the public. Hummingbirds will be captured, banded and released.

Participants are asked to bring lawn chairs. Refreshments will be served.

The Engel home is at 1424 NE 1500 St., 13 miles south of Jacksonville.
