Former Arkansas news anchor Craig O’Neill will headline Steak Soiree in Malvern –

MALVERN, Arkansas — Join Baptist Health Foundation for a fun and purposeful event on Thursday, August 22 in Malvern, headlined by Arkansas anchor Craig O’Neill.

This year’s Steak Soiree, presented by Arbor Oaks Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center and Encore Healthcare & Rehab of Malvern, will be held at Family Farm, 18448 U.S. 67. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature a steak dinner prepared by world steak grilling champion David Nelson and his team, as well as entertainment and a silent auction.

O’Neill was born in 1950 and is originally from Little Rock. He has been married to Jane for 53 years and is the father of a daughter, Abby, and a son, Thomas.

There was never a dull moment in O’Neill’s 55 years in broadcasting — 31 on radio and 24 on television. He’s danced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, interviewed music icon Dolly Parton, led election coverage with his intimate knowledge of Arkansas politics and broadcast messages of encouragement from his kitchen table during the pandemic.

O’Neill has participated in more than 9,000 charity events and raised more than $40 million for Arkansas and its communities.

O’Neill’s contributions to our state are remarkable, from his undying dedication to improving the lives of Arkansans to his irreverent sense of humor that leaves us all wanting more. Although O’Neill officially retires in December 2023, he continues to make an impact on Arkansans young and old.

Proceeds from this year’s Steak Soiree will go toward improving the services and compassionate care we provide to patients at Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County.

Tickets for the Steak Soiree are $75 and are available at baptisthealthfoundation.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For questions, please call Baptist Health Foundation at (501) 202-1839.
