State Police Arrest Albany Man for Possession of Child Pornography

On August 6, 2024, Latham State Police, with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested Philip J. Campaner42, of Albany, NY, for promoting a sexual act by a child, a class “D” felony, and possessing a sexual act by a child, a class “E” felony.

Camper is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his Albany, NY home on August 6, 2024. The investigation was prompted by a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Camper was arrested at his home and taken to SP Latham where he was processed. He was arraigned in Albany District Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 cash bond, $20,000 surety bond or $40,000 partially secured bond.
