Lion

I left the US for a fresh start. A self-centered mob heir with stalker tendencies is the last thing I want on my head. And the job he offers me? I absolutely refuse.

Besides the fact that he’s sexy and charming and doesn’t take no for an answer, he does things in me that no man has done before, but I attribute that to the fact that I need sex.

Even heterosexual men can find other men attractive, right?

SHEET

I need a new bodyguard. But finding a good match is harder than you might think.

Until Leo saves me from an ambush in one of Nagoya’s alleys.
He is reckless, a little wild and his beautiful blue eyes are impossible to forget. My father will not like him at all, and not only because he is a foreigner.

But I made up my mind the moment I caught Leo trying to spy on me. He had his chance and he blew it. Now I want him, and I won’t settle for less if he makes me look at him in a way I’ve never looked at a man before.

This fun and steamy MM mafia romcom is about idiots become lovers, double bi awakening, double himbo, a power couple with all the green flags, late night experimenting, chaotic cinnamon roll MC, supportive friends and some plot & action to keep things interesting. Although the setting itself is mafia, the story is not dark.

JUDGEMENT:

I’ll start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The humor and the heartfelt moments, the sweetness and the kickass, it was all great.

Leo is sweet for someone who can really kick some ass. He is on the run when he finds himself a savior for one of the most beautiful men he has ever met.

Chai has a good heart for someone who was raised to be a Yakuza and his lust at first sight when he first sees Leo. He wants to change the future for himself and when Leo comes along it’s like a catalyst for him to get his ass moving.

I loved these two guys. They were cute and adorable and sexy and they show a lot more sweetness to each other than I expected. Naomi is my third favorite character. She is a great friend to Leo and it is nice to see a positive female portrayal in a male romance.

I laughed a lot during this book. I can totally picture those two flirting and teasing while casually kicking ass around them. And then there’s the sex! It’s hot enough to scorch the earth and I definitely sat in front of a fan to cool off. If you’re a woman of a certain age, beware of the hot flashes!

I loved the premise of this book and the way it was put together really worked for me. The authors did a fantastic job of pitting the characters against each other and while there wasn’t much interaction with other characters, I did enjoy the banter between Chai and his old friend and Leo’s with Naomi. And Chai’s dad? Well, he turned out to be completely different than I expected.

All in all, I give this book a solid 4.5 without any problems and I look forward to the next book in this series.
