Presidential Office for Child Protection Itinatag

Initially, Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. started the Presidential Office for Children Protection (POCP) to protect them from exploitation.

On August 6, 2024, Executive Order No. 67 was put into place to primarily provide protection.

POCP may be given a mandate to combat issues of online abuse and criminal exploitation.

“The PCOP will monitor and harmonize government actions, policies and programs related to the protection of children and the promotion of their welfare, with special attention to anti-OSAEC and anti-child sexual abuse or exploitation material, and issues that hinder trafficking in persons,” EO said.

Lalabanan ng bagong tanggapan ang mga kaso ng anti-online child sexual abuse or exploitation (OSAEC) at iba pang mga banta sa kapakanan at kaayusan ng mga batang Pilipino.

The POCP is a Presidential Advisor on Child Protection (PACP) who appoints a special assistant to the president.

PCOP can advise the president of the i-monitor and implement a program for the protection of the assets. (Aileen Taliping)
