Clare County man arrested for ‘creating and sharing’ child pornography

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — A Clare County man has been arrested on suspicion of sex crimes against a child, Michigan State Police said.

Zachariah Doucet, 33, was arrested after investigators discovered he had “created and shared child sexual abuse files,” state police said.

Doucet was arraigned Wednesday in 80th District Court on the following charges:

  • One count of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree (person under 13 years of age)
  • Three counts of aggravated child sexual abuse
  • Three counts of distribution/promotion of child sexual abuse
  • Six counts of using a computer to commit a crime

If found guilty of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, Doucet faces up to 25 years in prison.
