New Hanover County Pastor Charged with Additional Child Sex Crimes

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County pastor is facing more child abuse charges.

Jonathan Ballard, 54, was charged in July with 14 counts of indecent liberties with a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Ballard was arrested again Friday and charged with two counts of rape of a minor and two counts of indecent exposure to a child, according to Brunswick County Detention Center jail records.

Ballard was given a $100,000 bond by the judge and it appears he has since been released on bail.
