Hiddenite Man Sentenced to Prison on Meth, Gun Charges; More

Jason Tyler Dover, 31, of Hiddenite, is serving a prison sentence after entering a no-contest plea in Alexander County Superior Court. He was arrested by Taylorsville police on April 3. The charges include setting fire to grasslands, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was sentenced to 66 to 92 months in prison. The term began on July 30. The sentence was increased due to Dover’s status as a repeat offender.
