Missing Grundy County man found dead

Bryan Lawson of Marion County is charged with attempting to exploit an officer online while posing as a teenage male, according to an affidavit.

The affidavit says an undercover FBI online employee posed as a 15-year-old to talk to the 36-year-old Lawson.

According to the sworn statement, the only response the OCE gave Lawson when told he was 15 was, “Okay.”

The affidavit states that Lawson requested photos and videos of the OCE’s private space.

The OCE arranged a meeting with Lawson, who assumed they would have sex, the affidavit said.

Lawson was arrested and charged with exploitation of a minor by electronic means.
