Flashback: When Yash REACTED to his equation with Prabhas and said, ‘I’ll be the first…’

It would not be wrong to say that Yash’s collaboration with Prashanth Neel for their blockbuster franchise KGF changed the dynamics of the Kannada film industry forever. KGF 1 and 2 became commercial hits at the box office and won praise from the audience. The Raja Huli actor, now a pan-India celebrity, once spoke about his equations with Prabhas.

In 2022, Yash reacted to being named the next Prabhas for Bollywood in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. The actor said, “I will be the first Yash; Prabhas is also a fantastic actor, with all due respect.”

“I will take it as a compliment because of everything that Prabhas has achieved,” he added. He also revealed how he always believed in ‘being yourself’ and comparison is something he always avoids.

In yet another interview, the Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari actor spoke candidly about Prabhas’ Baahubali and showered SS Rajamouli with praise, acknowledging that the blockbuster gave the much-needed boost to southern films.

“People got familiar with our dubbed films. It took a long time. The credit goes to SS Rajamouli sir. When you have to break a stone, it takes continuous effort. Baahubali gave that push,” he added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will be seen in his upcoming film Toxic. The actor has already started shooting for the Geetu Mohandas directorial and confirmed the exciting news by sharing a picture from the sets.

According to reports, the plot of Toxic will explore the dark world of drug mafia in the 1950s. The upcoming film promises a gripping story that will showcase Yash’s powerful role. Toxic will hit the big screen on April 10, 2025.

Pinkvilla had previously reported that the film might not release on the announced date, but there has been no official confirmation yet.

On the other hand, Prabhas has a list of exciting films in the pipeline. The first one is The Raja Saab, Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and he will also be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD’s second Installment.
