Cornwall man arrested again and charged with crimes including sexual abuse | Ocean 100

The RCMP reports that 39-year-old Matthew Alan Craswell of Cornwall was re-arrested Sunday and appeared in provincial court Monday morning. Craswell was arrested last Thursday in connection with an RCMP child pornography investigation. He was released from custody after being charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. The RCMP says information came to police from the public about an incident that occurred in April 2024, when Craswell was teaching. With that information from the public, police laid new charges of sexual exploitation, sexual assault and sexual interference against Craswell after they rearrested him. He is now being held until a show cause hearing on Wednesday.
