Recent events lend credence to the ‘Agyapadie’ document

The Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, has expressed concerns over the Agyapadie document.

The Agyapadie document outlines plans for what it describes as the Akyem mafia to take over the country.

Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has questioned the authenticity of the document, saying it was a fabrication by his opponents to cast him in a bad light.

“This baseless accusation is yet another example of the malicious tactics being used to undermine my credibility and integrity,” the president said.

But during John Dramani Mahama’s visit to his palace, Togbe Afede XIV indicated that “we recently heard something called Agyapadie and unfortunately my company is also mentioned in that book. My little Strategic African Security is also mentioned in that book. I find it hard to believe that this is an authentic document but of course certain things that we are going through give us thoughts to the contrary.”
