Ties between Beavery County police and the mafia

Can anyone confirm that the mafia is still active in Beaver County, PA and that they are known for bribing local police? I have tried to research this after learning of the mafia’s involvement in previous FBI/CIA murders but can’t find much. It is worth noting that Greg Nicol is in Beaver County.
