Daily Mail calls for Islamophobia after Leicester Square stabbing

The Daily Mail has proven itself once again to be the racist shitrag that it truly is. Just last week, right wing thugs were carrying out race riots in England and Northern Ireland. And then, just days later, the tabloid added fuel to the fire.

Daily Mail: re-inciting Islamophobia

After a man stabbed a young girl in Leicester Square, Daily Mail implied that the Muslim hero who tried to save the young girl who was stabbed was in fact the attacker:

Abdullah, a 29-year-old security guard who works at the TWG Tea shop in Leicester Square, tried to stop a man he saw stabbing an 11-year-old girl on Monday 12 August. The stabber turned out to be 32-year-old Ioan Pintaru from Romania. He was in fact a white man.

You wonder where the far-right Muppets are when white men are stabbing children in the middle of London?

Although the headline now appears to have been deleted, the internet has not forgotten. People on X were not about to let them stir up racial hatred with impunity:

The Daily Mail knew exactly what it was doing: clickbait nonsense to appeal to their half-brained readers. Never want to form an intelligent thought? Read the Daily Mail. But not only is the headline and accompanying photo misleading, it is downright dangerous. In the wake of race riots, they are making a Muslim man the target of racism and misplaced anger:

It’s safe to say that the Daily Mail has never been a legitimate news outlet, but a far-right propaganda machine that only serves the interests of the super-rich:

Journalistic integrity

Misinformation and simple, lazy journalism were major factors in the recent far-right race riots. A series of tweets containing false information – claiming the killer was a Muslim immigrant – went viral, despite an official police statement saying he was born in Cardiff.

Channel 3 Now tweeted, wrong suggest that the attacker a asylum seeker who arrived in the UK by boat last year.

This combination was one of the reasons why the far right targeted mosques, asylum centers and Muslim communities.

The Daily Mail technically not printing false information. However, their headline with the photo of the heroic security guard is just about the same. People will undoubtedly read the headline and draw their own conclusions:

Last week, Andrew Pierce – Daily Mail columnist – appeared on Good morning Great Britain. He slammed Zarah Sultana for criticizing his newspaper for building the far-right racist culture that led to the riots. He claimed she had no evidence to back up such a claim, but we’ve all seen the headlines:

Zarah Sultana – the only non-white person on the panel – unfortunately felt the full force of the media’s efforts to blame and scapegoat black and brown people:

Meanwhile, Tory Boy Pierce, as he calls himself, keeps tweeting about “stopping the boats,” a slogan the far right has picked up and used in their riots:

So, the Daily Mail has publicized his murder of hero Abdullah for one reason and one reason only. To incite more hatred against Muslims and other minority communities in the UK. But the festering cesspool of racism masquerading as a media outlet has absolutely nothing to do with the recent race riots, does it Pierce?
