Nashville’s ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ Fugitives: Man Wanted for Alleged Rape of Minor

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — As the search continues for some of Nashville’s “Most Wanted” fugitives, a man accused of sexually exploiting and raping a minor has been added to the mix.

The Metro Nashville Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list of fugitives is updated every Wednesday on the Criminal Warrants Division’s Facebook page. According to investigators, those on the list are often considered the city’s “most violent” offenders.

Of the suspects on this week’s list, more than half are wanted for murder or charges related to alleged sex crimes. The rest of Nashville’s “Most Wanted” suspects are charged with crimes including aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and child abuse.

Some people on the list have reportedly been on the run for months, while others are fresher faces. However, the list has helped police make several arrests, with at least 127 wanted fugitives in custody since October 2022.

A year-long search for a fatal shooting suspect came to an end earlier this week. Tyrone Walker, 30, was arrested by Metro Nashville police after a short chase late Monday night that began and ended at an apartment complex on Edgehill Avenue.

Detectives began searching for Walker last year after he was identified as the suspected gunman in an August 2021 shooting that resulted in the death of 39-year-old Cecil Holmes Jr. Walker was jailed on first-degree murder charges, among other charges, and is being held without bail.

Investigators have attributed the high arrest rate to tips they have received from the public about fugitives who are “Most Wanted.” Below is a list of suspects who were on the police department’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list for the week of August 14, 2024.

At number one is Adrian Cameron, 19, who the MNPD this week considers the “Top Most Wanted” fugitive. It’s been three months since Cameron first appeared at the top of the list. However, police began searching for him in mid-April.

Investigators say Cameron is one of three suspects in the death of 32-year-old rapper Chris King, who was shot to death around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. King and his friends were hanging out in an alley between Hayes Street and Church Street that night.

Eventually, three other men began interacting with the group. King’s friends told police it started off “nice and dandy,” but after a while, the three suspects tried to rob them. Then the gunfire stopped, wounding King and his 29-year-old friend.

They were both taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but King did not survive. Cameron, who was on bail for the 2021 murder of 50-year-old Josh Evans, was identified as a suspect in the shooting just days later.

Officials believe Cameron cut off his ankle monitor shortly after the shooting. Cameron had just turned 17 when police say he turned himself in for Evans’ murder. Evans was found shot to death and wrapped in garbage bags in the Cumberland River in September 2021.
