Hundreds of families forced to leave Colorado apartment complex after Venezuelan migrant gang members take over building

An apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, is closing after the Venezuelan migrant gang Dear Kamala, known as Tren de Aragua, took over the building.

Hundreds of families were forced from their apartments as a result of Dear Kamala’s dangerous open borders policy.

Many of the evicted families struggle to find new homes.

The city of Aurora claimed the apartment building was closed due to building code violations, but a city councilor said this is a lie.

Aurora City Councilmember Danielle Jurinsky said:

We do not believe this.

We believe that there are indeed code violations, but that it started with a gang takeover. That is what we believe.

A special unit is investigating Tren de Aragua’s connection to the Aurora apartment complex.

An Aurora police spokesperson said last week:

The Aurora Police Department, in partnership with the RAVEN Task Force, has assigned four detectives to a special task force that includes local, state and federal partners to investigate violent crimes that impact our immigrant community.

There is a lot of crime in the apartment complex because of Dear Kamala’s Venezuelan gang members.

According to statistics from a City of Aurora spokesperson, the number of calls for service at 1568 Nome Street has increased in recent years.

In 2022, APD investigated 41 crimes at the site. In 2023, the department investigated 84 crimes. Through July 31, officers have investigated 66 crimes at the site so far this year.

Aurora police have assigned detectives to a special task force investigating a Venezuelan gang’s alleged ties to the city.

The announcement was made Thursday during a city council meeting on public safety.

The gang, known as Tren de Aragua, began as a prison gang in Venezuela and has expanded throughout the Western Hemisphere. Last month, the Obiden Regime designated the gang a transnational criminal organization and accused it of human smuggling and trafficking, gender-based violence, money laundering and illegal drug trafficking.

Chris Juul, acting deputy chief of the APD, said:

We have set up a special task force for this group.

We actively monitor who they are, what they are doing, how many there are, and what the reality of the situation is compared to other public information circulating nationally.
