No room for political feud, says Chandrababu Naidu

Vijayawada, Aug 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday made it clear that there is no room for political feuding. He said that the guilty will not be spared. He also said that the TDP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will have a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards any attempts to disrupt law and order as peace is a prerequisite for the state to attract investments.

He was speaking after hoisting the national flag during the main official function at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium on the occasion of Independence Day.

Chandrababu Naidu assured the people that his government would do everything possible to restore Andhra Pradesh’s past glory.

The Prime Minister alleged that Andhra Pradesh was gripped by lawlessness, destruction of institutions, corruption and land grabbing for the past five years and that it regained its freedom after the NDA came to power in the recent elections.

He said the state had suffered greatly under the reverse rule adopted by the previous government, but said people were now reaping the fruits of freedom.

Chandrababu Naidu assured that his government, as promised during the election campaign, will definitely meet the expectations of the people who were irritated by the shady rules of the previous government.

The Chief Minister said the state had gone back 30 years due to inefficient governance and corrupt regime of the previous government. Land, sand, wine, mines and drug mafia ruled during the previous regime, he lamented.

“I am confident that the state will regain its former glory and we are taking all possible measures to build the brand of Andhra Pradesh,” he said, adding that simple government and effective governance are the main mottos of this government.

While the central government is going ahead with its Viksit Bharat-2047 plan, the state is preparing its Vision-2047 to build Vikasitha Andhra Pradesh by 2047, the Chief Minister noted. The details of the Vision 2047 will be presented to the people on October 2, he added.

The Chief Minister lamented that the remaining Andhra Pradesh did not even have a capital after the state was bifurcated. He said the Centre has announced a special assistance of Rs 15,000 crore per year for the construction of Amaravati.

The Centre has also promised to complete the Polavaram project and a special package for north Andhra coast and Prakasam, the minister said.

Chandrababu Naidu announced that the state government will soon take up the bifurcation issue with Telangana and that all promises made to the people during the election campaign will be fulfilled in letter and spirit.

Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the inefficient governance of the previous government has left the state in dire financial straits. According to him, the per capita income has fallen from 13.2 per cent to 9.5 per cent.

“We are taking all possible measures to achieve a growth rate of 15 percent in the coming years,” Chandrababu Naidu added.

He made it clear that the state government is doing everything possible to reduce poverty to zero and that poverty can easily be reduced with the cooperation of the people.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people to cooperate with the government to achieve the goal of a poverty-free state. He said efforts are being made to bring back investors to the state who do not want to look at the state with the policies pursued by the previous government.
