The official weight of the crystal meth was 2,585 pounds.

Officers arrested the driver of the truck, Jesus Martinez Martinez, after discovering more than 2,000 pounds of meth hidden among boxes of celery in the back of the truck.

“This is a significant and incredible amount of drugs to be shipped at one time and to a destination so far from the border,” said Robert J. Murphy, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Division. “It also shows the confidence of the cartel behind this.”
