Authorities have identified an alleged third victim in the sexual abuse case of a Lookout Mountain business owner.

James Coleman Thompson was charged in June with allegedly transporting a child, identified as Victim 1, across state lines into Alabama in November 2000 for the purpose of performing sex acts.

The incident could lead to charges of second-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sodomy in Alabama.

Documents also show that victim two was involved in an incident in September 2000. This also took place in Alabama, on two separate occasions that would result in charges of two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sexual assault.

A new superseding indictment was filed last Wednesday, alleging that Victim Three was attacked in Louisiana in 1999 or 2000. Those activities would have resulted in charges of oral sexual abuse.

In June, the FBI released a statement saying Thompson had been charged with allegedly transporting minors across state lines to commit sexual abuse in 2000.

However, the FBI also stated that they did not believe these were the only incidents. They believe Thompson also took children onto land he owned in Beckham County, Oklahoma, for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

“Thompson allegedly brought young boys between the ages of 10 and 15 who were involved in youth wrestling and youth hunting programs to the Sayre property,” the FBI stated.

The hearing date has been set for September 3 and the trial is expected to begin on September 23.
