Upstate Men Arrested on Sexual Abuse, Child Abuse Charges

SOUTH CAROLINA (WSPA) – The South Carolina District Attorney’s Office announced that two men have been arrested on a total of 12 charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors.

Detectives from the Task Force on Combating Cybercrimes Against Children made the arrests with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office in these unrelated cases.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to 56-year-old Grant Neth Herman of Taylors and 27-year-old Brett Kenneth Willis of Easley.

Investigators said Herman distributed and possessed child sexual abuse files, and Willis possessed child sexual abuse files.

Herman was arrested on August 8 and is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree and sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree.

Willis was arrested Wednesday and is charged with 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
