St. Lawrence County Man Convicted of Child Sexual Exploitation

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 23-year-old St. Lawrence County man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sexual abuse of a child.

Skyler Keleher was officially convicted of two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

In an earlier plea, Keleher admitted to sexually abusing a 2-year-old child at least twice in 2017 and live-streaming the abuse on Facebook Messenger and Facebook Live.

Since then, recordings of the abuse have circulated online and have been seized by police in at least 26 investigations in the US and abroad.

The videos were first captured by police in 2018, but Keleher’s identity was not confirmed until 2022, when he was arrested.

After serving his prison sentence, Keleher will be on parole for life and must register as a sex offender.
