Jonas Blue celebrates the release of new single 100 Lives with a mix for The Night Bazaar

JONAS BLUE is one of the biggest crossover electronic music artists in the world, currently with 17 billion streams and 7 singles that have been certified platinum and multi-platinum in the UK.

His debut album ‘Blue’ went gold in the UK, won the Brit Certified Breakthrough Award and was nominated for five Brit Awards.

Jonas is without a doubt a certified pop powerhouse. His most notable hits include his updated version of Tracey Chapman’s 1988 hit, “Fast Car,” and “Perfect Strangers” – two tracks that have amassed over a billion streams each. Other hits include “Mama,” “Rise,” and “Alien” with Sabrina Carpenter, and “Back & Forth” with MK and Becky Hill. He has also recently remixed tracks for Ariana Grande and Gregory Porter.

The dance pop sensation is back with another hit, ‘100 Lives’ featuring Dutch-born, London-based singer and songwriter Eyelar, out now. Jonas told us:

“’100 Lives’ started as a piano instrumental I randomly made after watching the Robbie Williams documentary and feeling inspired by that big piano pop sound. A month or so later I picked up the instrumental in the studio with Eyelar and (songwriter/producer) Ollie Green and the lyrics and story just started flowing.

It’s very much about finding your soulmate, someone you’d always be there for no matter what, going through the ups and downs of life together. It’s kind of a sequel to my song ‘By Your Side’, if you listen to the story in the lyrics.”

‘100 Lives’ features the silky smooth vocals of Dutch pop singer and songwriter Eyelar. One of dance music’s hottest vocal talents, Eyelar first made her name working with Dutch electronic producers Afrojack and Nicky Romero. She then moved to London and began making a name for herself collaborating on major songwriting and vocal feature credits with the likes of RAYE, Charli XCX, Danny L Harle, Disciples, Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta.

Her collaboration as songwriter and lead vocalist with Purple Disco Machine on the German #1 hit ‘Dopamine’ and also on ‘Shutters’ with Fred Again on the Grammy-winning album ‘Actual Life 3’ further cemented her growing reputation as one of the most sought-after collaborators in electronic music, with over 1 billion streams for her songwriting and lead vocal work.

We caught up with Jonas this week and ahead of his upcoming show at KOKO in London in November, he’s recorded a very special mix of ‘100 Lives’ for The Night Bazaar Sessions on Mixcloud, which you can listen to below. Jonas says:

“I’m so excited to share my exclusive mix with you guys, including some of my newest releases like 100 Lives. It’s a taste of what I’ve been playing live this year! Hopefully I’ll see some of you at my KOKO show in London in November!”
