Goodfellas: How The Cast Compares To The Real Gangsters

Martin Scorseses classic gangster flick Goodfellas‘ real people dont match up to the movie in every way, despite its impressive cast. As with any Hollywood adaptation, plot structure and character arcs require a bit of alteration from reality. Goodfellas tells the story of Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), who gets involved in the New York City mafia at a young age and works his way up the ranks until turning states witness in 1980. Goodfellas takes viewers deep into the New York mafia underworld during the 1970s.
