Toronto man faces 14 new charges in connection with alleged sexual abuse of children in his care

Police have filed additional charges against a Toronto man previously arrested for alleged child sexual abuse. Police believe there may be more victims.

According to Toronto police, Kevin Marsh was originally arrested in October 2017 after he said he sexually abused multiple children from May 2012 to September 2017.

Investigators say that in two separate cases, Marsh befriended a family, gained their trust and acted as a caregiver for the children.

“He abused his position of trust to sexually abuse the children over an extended period of time,” police said in a 2017 press release.

Marsh was arrested and subsequently charged with nearly two dozen counts of sexual abuse and assault-related crimes.

In an update Saturday, police said Marsh was arrested again on August 14, 2024, and charged with 14 additional offenses, including sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation and production and distribution of child pornography.

Investigators did not provide details about what prompted the new charges, but said they are concerned there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
