UK puts misogyny and Islamic terrorism on the same footing

British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has announced Labour’s plan to Terrorism Act 2000 to classify misogyny under the heading of ‘terrorism’.

In effect, the government says the threat of violence against women should be treated as a “threat to national security.”

This is astonishing, because no one has failed women and girls more than the authorities, who for decades refused to investigate rape gangs for fear of hurting ethnic communities.
