Bills Mafia must see Josh Allen and offense answer key questions in third and final exhibition game

There’s only one week left in the preseason, and the Buffalo Bills still seem to have more questions than answers on offense. There were promising signs of life in their second preseason outing, particularly in the run game, but the passing game is still a mystery.

This is largely because quarterback Josh Allen has only seen action three times in two games. But with time running out to build chemistry with the new playmakers, Bills fans are starting to worry.

Buffalo has yet to score a touchdown this pre-season

I know, I know. It’s the preseason. It doesn’t “count.” But still, the fact that the Bills are one of two teams, along with the Los Angeles Chargers, who have yet to score a touchdown in the preseason seems less than ideal.

The Bills offense was one of the most dominant units in the league last year, allowing the sixth most points per game. Obviously, Allen barely playing this preseason is a big contributor to the aforementioned stat, but many teams around the league have been able to find the end zone with their reserves. Not the Bills.

We know this offense is going to look different this year without Stefon Diggs. Everyone is tired of talking about it, honestly. But with just one preseason game left, the Bills need to put together an offensive performance that instills some confidence in the players and the direction of this team.

Josh Allen needs match replays with new goals

The practice reports have been great about Allen and the rapport he has with newcomers like veteran Curtis Samuel and rookie Keon Coleman, but we’ll have to see it in the game. Coleman has been tough to judge during two preseason games with poor quarterback play, including a smartly retrieved hospital ball in the second preseason game.
