Collection of all seven films from the highly successful comedy series. In ‘Police Academy’ (1984), a new mayor offers a motley crew of misfits a chance to grease the wheels of justice when he lifts the restrictions on recruiting new members to the police force. The academy has the tough job of straightening them out. ‘Police Academy 2 – Their First Assignment’ (1985) sees six of the bungling recruits transferred to another precinct, where the lieutenant’s promotion is dependent on failing their training course. They also face trouble on the streets in the form of a gang of sociopaths led by a psychobabbler. In ‘Police Academy 3 – Back in Training’ (1986), the police budget is being cut, so one of the two training academies is on the verge of being cut. It’s up to former academy graduates of Commandant Lassard (George Gaynes) to save their old training camp. In ‘Police Academy 4 – Citizens On Patrol’ (1987) our rookie cops try to get the local community involved in preventing crime. However, their efforts are thwarted by Captain Harris (G.W. Bailey) who is determined to thwart the plans of the group that have caused him so much trouble in the past. ‘Police Academy 5 – Assignment Miami Beach’ (1988) sees Commandant Lassard finally reach retirement age. The whole gang flies to Miami to watch him accept an award. The only problem is that he picked up the wrong bag at the airport and is now in possession of stolen diamonds from a gang of crooks. In ‘Police Academy 6 – City Under Siege’ (1989) a criminal holds the city hostage by planning a series of burglaries and fraud. To make matters worse, the rookie cops have a plan to stop him. ‘Police Academy 7 – Mission to Moscow’ (1994) is about the legendary police team that helps in post-Soviet Russia. The Russians have a problem when mafia godfather Konali (Ron Perlman) devises a plan to control the entire world through an addictive computer game.
