NJPW G1 Climax Night 19 Results and Review (August 18, 2024)

On August 18, 2024, NJPW broadcast the 19th and final night of G1 Climax live in Tokyo, Japan at the Ryogoku Kokugikan to 8,056 fans. The broadcast can be viewed on NJPW World.

6-man tag team match
TenKoji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima) & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Tiger Mask IV, Yuji Nagata & Shoma Kato

Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Shoma Kato start this match before Tiger Mask enters the court and takes on Taguchi.

Satoshi Kojima stepped in and hit Tiger Mask with Machine Gun Chops before Tiger Mask hit Tiger Driver on Kojima. Yuji Nagata came in and grabbed Kojima’s arm as he rolled his eyes to the back of his head.

Kato came in and fought Ryusuke Taguchi, after which Tenzan gave Kato some Mongolian Chops.

Taguchi had Kato perform a Boston Crab before Taguchi switched to Oh My & Garankle for the submission win.

Taichi vs. Katsuya Murashima

Taichi does a bodyslam and then spinkicks to the thighs. Taichi did a half crab.

Katsuya Murashima hit a few roll-ups for near falls before Taichi scored Dangerous Backdrop for the win.

Tag Team Match
TMDK (strong Openweight Tag Team Champion and IWGP Tag Team Champion Mikey Nicholls and Robbie Eagles) vs. Konosuke Takeshita and Francesco Akira

Mikey Nicholls and Konosuke Takeshita start this match with standing substitutions before Francesco Akira and Robbie Eagles enter the court and Akira performs a dropkick.

Eagles did a somersault dive to the floor, sending Takeshita and Akira to the floor and him landing in the crowd.

In the ring, TMDK goes to work on Akira, after which Takeshita enters the field and gives Nicholls a flying clothesline.

Akira did a headscissors takedown on Eagles, then a plancha to the floor and then a top rope crossbody for a near fall on Eagles. Nicholls did a Death Valley Driver on Akira.

Takeshita knocks Nicholls down with a forearm strike, then Takeshita hits Eagles with a Blue Thunder Bomb.

Akira gives Eagles a twisting neckbreaker, after which Eagles wins with Hyperion.

Bullet Club (Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Drilla Maloney & Clark Connors & Taiji Ishimori) vs. Just 5 Guys (Junior Heavyweight Champion Douki, Taka Michinoku & Sanada)

Taiji Ishimori and Douki start this match with quick mat reversals, after which Sanada ties up Drilla Maloney.

Clark Connors beats up Taka Michinoku before Michinoku performs a Pump Kick on Ishimori.

Connors pulls Sanada and Douki off the ring platform, preventing them from jumping in.

Michinoku tied Connors to the mat and turned him over onto his head.

Michinoku superkicks Maloney for a near fall, after which Ishimori and Douki battle for a while longer.

Ishimori scores with Bloody Cross and wins.

Winners: Bullet Club (9:01)

6-man tag team match
Bullet Club War Dogs (strong openweight champion Gabe Kidd, world champion David Finlay and Jake Lee) vs. Bishamon (Hirooki Goto and Yoshi Hashi) and Tomoaki Honma

Bishamon & Tomoaki Honma beat up David Finlay early in the match before Jake Lee comes in and bodyslams Yoshi Hashi. Hirooki Goto hits Kidd with a back suplex. They hit clotheslines simultaneously and are both on the floor.

Lee & Honma traded blows and Lee hit a brainbuster for a near fall before Lee hit a high back suplex on Honma for a near fall. Honma hit Lee with a jumping headbutt.

Finlay and Yoshi Hashi come in and trade forearm strikes, with Yoshi Hashi hitting Headhunter.

Goto applies a clothesline and gets excited before Finlay hits Goto with Oblivion and then Yoshi Hashi.

Yoshi Hashi gives Kidd Snake Eyes and then wins with Choragi against Finlay.

Winners: Bishamon & Tomoaki Honma (9:37)

10 Man Tag Team Match
NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champions Be Bop Tag Team (Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano) & Boltin Oleg, El Phantasmo & Shota Umino vs. House Of Torture (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi, Ren Narita, Evil & Sho)

Evil trips Boltin Oleg, allowing Yujiro Takahashi to perform a Mafia Kick before Hiroshi Tanahashi tags in and gives Evil a flying forearm. Tanahashi gives Evil a 2nd rope summersault senton.

In the ring, Sho hits Oleg with his wrench, after which El Phantasmo runs into the ring and attacks Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

Narita threw the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Title to Tanahashi and he left the ring.

ELP got up and saw Tanahashi holding the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Title, so Evil hit a low blow and then Everything Is Evil for the win.

8 Man Tag Team Match
United Empire (NEVER Openweight Champion Henare, Television Champion Jeff Cobb, KOPW 2024 Champion Great O Khan & Callum Newman) vs. Los Ingobernables De Japon (IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi & Bushi)

Great O Khan tied Tetsuya Naito to the mat before Naito performed an enzuigiri on O Khan.

Hiromu Takahashi and Henare join in and exchange forearm strikes and punches before Takahashi executes a headscissors takedown.

Henare uses a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall and puts Takahashi in Ultima, but Bushi makes the save.

Jeff Cobb hits Shingo Takagi with a Spin Cycle before Bushi charges through the ropes onto Cobb and Callum Newman. In the ring, Henare hits Takahashi with a clothesline and a kick to the chest for a near fall.

However, Takahashi hits Henare with a Hiromu Roll and wins.

Winners: Los Ingobernables De Japon (11:40)

2024 G1 Climax Finals
Winner Block B 3 Yota Tsuji vs. Winner Block A 1 Zack Sabre Jr.

Yota Tsuji hits a powerbomb to escape, then another knee to the jaw, then a jumping knee for a near fall. ZSJ hits some open hand strikes to the face before Tsuji takes him down with a headbutt.

Tsuji hits a 2nd rope swinging powerbomb for a near fall and then sets up for a Deadbolt Suplex, but ZSJ escapes and hits the arm with a Pele Kick. Tsuji hits Zack Driver for a near fall and they’re both down.

ZSJ avoids Gene Blaster and gets a rollup for a near fall, followed by a penalty kick, before Tsuji scores a stunner.

ZSJ tried to do a Rings Of Saturn on the mat, but he also tied up his legs. Tsuji gave up and resigned.
