Peter Till, a political supporter of US Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance and known for his “Paypal” mafia, appeared on a podcast and said he wanted to leave the United States.

According to The Independent on 18 (local time), Peter Till was a guest on internet presenter Joe Rogan’s podcast and said he was also considering leaving California or the United States.

He recently moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles, but said he is also considering moving to Miami, Florida, or leaving the United States for New Zealand or Costa Rica. Along with Joe Rogan, Nashville, Tennessee, is one of the cities he wants to live in.

One of the reasons Peter Thiel wants to leave California and the United States is taxes. Miami, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee, have much lower taxes on the wealthy.

Peter Till described California as being similar to Saudi Arabia. If Saudi Arabia has Wahhabism, an extreme religious fundamentalism, then California has “Wokeism,” which means extreme left-wing ideology. Critics say that Saudi Arabia or California will collapse because of this extreme principle, but it is a metaphor that Saudi Arabia’s crude oil and California’s tech companies are on a roll.

Peter Till made a fortune starting PayPal in Silicon Valley in 1998 and founded companies such as Palantir Technology and Founders Fund. The Silicon Valley founders and venture capitalists associated with him are called the “Paypal Mafia.” He sponsored many political funds when former President Donald Trump was elected in 2016.

JD Vance worked at Misril Capital, which was founded by Peter Thiel, and received much of Peter Thiel’s support when he was elected to the Ohio Senate in 2021.
