Harris’s Awake Stepdaughter Suggests Drug Linked to Matthew Perry’s Death Was for ‘Pain Management’

Ella Emhoff, the 25-year-old stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, opened up about her battle with chronic back pain and suggested controversial pain management methods, including ketamine infusions.

Emhoff, the daughter of Doug Emhoff, took to Instagram to open up about her lifelong battle with “severe chronic back pain” stemming from a congenital condition called tethered spine.

This condition led to the development of kyphosis, better known as a ‘hunchback’.

“I was born with a stuck spine (iykyk), which prevented my spine from growing properly as I grew and left me with a kyphosis (hunchback),” Emhoff explained in an Instagram Story post, accompanied by a selfie with Hello Kitty stickers.

The model and fashion designer described her journey through adolescence, detailing frequent visits to doctors and physical therapy sessions.

Despite surgery on her lower back that made her “a million inches taller,” Emhoff continues to struggle with persistent pain.

The New York Post highlighted that in an attempt to manage her ongoing discomfort, Emhoff shared a Google Sheet titled “Big Pain Management List” with her 345,000 followers.

The list includes a wide range of pain management techniques, including devices, exercises, therapies, and books.

One particular recommendation has raised eyebrows: ketamine infusions.

Ketamine, best known as an anesthetic for surgical procedures, has received a lot of attention in recent years for its potential treatment of depression, anxiety and chronic pain, according to the Associated Press.

It is important to know that the drug is not officially approved for these conditions.

The drug has also been linked to recreational use, earning it the nickname “chemical cousin” of PCP.

When used outside of a medical context, ketamine can cause euphoria and hallucinations and may also affect breathing and heart function.

The addition of ketamine to Emhoff’s list of pain medications comes at a sensitive time, following the recent arrests in connection with the overdose death of “Friends” actor Matthew Perry.

Perry, who had long struggled with addiction, tragically passed away last October from complications related to ketamine.

Emhoff’s list also included more conventional pain management strategies, such as “no guilt about the pain, 14 hours of sleep, complaining, crying, acceptance, hypnosis, eliminating sugar and no alcohol (sic).”

Emhoff acknowledged the potential impact of her recommendations, adding a disclaimer: “These are all recommendations made to me. These should not be taken as medical advice. I’m just a girl trying to feel less pain.”

However, this is not the first major controversy surrounding Emhoff, as previously reported by Resist the Mainstream.

The New York Post had already exposed Emhoff in November 2023 for publicly raising money for Gaza.

Emhoff’s father, first gentleman Doug, is conspicuously Jewish.
