Man faces dozens of other sexual exploitation charges in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, NC (WGHP) — A man previously charged with sexual exploitation now faces 40 additional charges.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Dale Sylvester, 32, was arrested on August 14 for second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and third-degree exploitation of a minor.

According to the sheriff’s office, they continued their investigation and found grounds to charge Sylvester with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, four counts of lewdness with a child, 10 counts of first-degree rape of a minor and six counts of sex offenses with a child 13 or under.

He had previously been released on bail on the costly charge, but was remanded in custody on August 16 and given a new $50,000 bail.
