TEARS OF FEAR LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY

British band Tears for Fears has announced a three-date residency at Fontainbleau Las Vegas from October 30 to November 2. “It’s been a while since we’ve toured and we’re excited to share this live show experience with everyone,” said band members Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. “Expect to hear songs from our 2022 album The tipping point and fan favorites too. Be sure to listen carefully, because there might be something new in there too.” The shows are called “Songs for a Nervous Planet”… could that be a hint too?

HUMBLE MOUSE

Good news for people who like Good news for people who like bad news — Modest Mouse will perform the 2004 album in its entirety during a 20th anniversary tour.

THREE 6 MAFIA

Oscar-winning rappers Three 6 Mafia have a number of performances planned in the coming months, including a performance at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville and a show at the Brooklyn Mirage on October 24.

SECT

SECT (members of Cursed, Earth Crisis, Catharsis, Racetraitor, Fall Out Boy, etc.) are coming to Cambridge and Brooklyn this month to promote their awesome new LP Plagues upon plagues.

TIM MINCHIN

Australian comedian and musician Tim Minchin is wrapping up his North American “Unfunny” tour, which will be his first solo US shows in over a decade, and will feature a “more unplanned intimate ‘evening with’ vibe,” as Tim talks about his songwriting and performs songs from his 2020 studio album, Apart, togetherhis musicals, Mathilde And Groundhog Dayhis TV and film writing and his early days as a songwriter around the turn of the century.” The tour concludes with a pair of shows in NYC on August 25 (sold out) and August 26 at Town Hall.

THE STORY SO FAR / SUPERHEAVEN / KOYO

The Story So Far will tour to promote their first album in six years, I want to disappearthis fall and bring along Superheaven and Koyo.

Jeff Rosenstock will warm up for his upcoming Brooklyn gig by opening for Taking Back Sunday tomorrow (8/20) at the Rooftop at Pier 17.

CHRIS & RICH ROBINSON FROM BLACK CROWES

Chris and Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes will be at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on September 11 as part of the venue’s Grammy Museum series. They’ll be talking about the band’s new album, Lucky bastardsand more, with a performance afterwards.

NARDWUAR

Spend an evening with The Human Serviette as Nardwuar hosts one of his “Video Vault” events in New York in September.
