Michigan DoorDash Driver’s Car Stolen While Delivering Order

I always thought it would be fun to make some extra money as an Uber Eats or DoorDash delivery person.

I imagined cruising around, listening to my favorite music and podcasts, and delivering food along the way.

It never occurred to me that someone could steal my car during a delivery, but that’s exactly what happened to a DoorDash delivery driver in Detroit on Friday night.

The entire incident was captured by the customer’s Ring doorbell camera.

In the video, the DoorDash delivery driver, wearing a red shirt, can be seen dropping off the food and stepping back to take a photo as proof of the delivery.

As he concentrates on taking the photo, you can see someone slowly approaching his car, which was still running, in the top left of the screen.

Within seconds, the thief jumps behind the wheel and drives away, while the DoorDash driver frantically runs after his stolen car.

A few moments later, the woman who ordered the food steps outside, completely unaware of the drama that has just unfolded.

While many people on social media pointed out that the driver should not have left his car running, I can’t help but feel sorry for him.
