Murshid Trailer: Kay Kay Menon and Tanuj Virwani to Star in Upcoming Gangster Thriller

The much-awaited web series Murshid has officially unveiled its gripping trailer, creating a lot of excitement and excitement among fans and critics. Directed by Shravan Tiwari, the seven-episode gangster thriller is set to premiere on Zee5 on August 30, 2024, and offers an intense and gripping story that will keep viewers enthralled.

The trailer has created a stir with its dynamic portrayal of the underworld and an intense performance by Kay Kay Menon. Known for his gripping roles in dark and gritty stories, Menon essays the title role of Murshid Pathan, a mafia boss who ruled Bombay for 20 years. His powerful performance is underscored by a striking line: “Don’t be fooled by the lines on my face – I will finish you off!” This dialogue not only emphasises the menacing presence of the character but also sets the tone for the grim narrative of the series.

Tanuj Virwani, who plays the pivotal role of police inspector Kumar Pratap, delivers an impressive performance that spans from the 1990s to 2021, showcasing multiple facets of his character. Virwani, son of renowned actress Rati Agnihotri, expressed his excitement over working with Kay Kay Menon and director Shravan Tiwari, saying, “I am playing an important role and consider myself very lucky to have worked with an incredible actor like Kay Kay Menon. The series will take viewers inside the dark and exciting underworld of Bombay in the 80s and 90s, and will extend to Mumbai in 2021. Apart from Kay Kay Menon and Tanuj Virwani, Murshid features an all-star cast including Zakir Hussain, Rajesh Shringarpure and Anang Desai. Produced by Sandip Patel and Sachin Bansal under the banner of Fathom Pictures and Pramukh Film Production House, the series is written and directed by Shravan Tiwari, and has music composed by Kunal Karan.
