Kamala Harris’ campaign team has released a new ad at the Democratic National Convention, featuring Beyoncé’s hit song “Freedom.”

The ad features Democrats expressing their support for Harris as the next US president.

Vice President Harris became the presumptive nominee after Joe Biden announced his decision not to seek re-election. She named Tim Walz as her running mate earlier this month.

The song, which Harris used during the campaign, includes the lyrics: “Freedom/Where are you?/’Cause I need freedom too/I’ll break all the chains on my own/I won’t let my freedom rot in hell/Hey! I’ll keep on running/’Cause a winner doesn’t give up on himself.”

The film showcases key moments of American achievement. From pro-abortion rallies to Pride marches and excerpts from Harris’ speeches, the ad promotes her as “a leader who is for the people.”

The narrator, Oscar-nominated actor Jeffrey Wright, points out that during her tenure as vice president, U.S. senator and California attorney general, Harris “protected people from predators and big drug cartels, held Wall Street banks accountable, stood up to dictators and fought for all of us,” Variety reported.

One of the final clips shows Harris asking a crowd at a rally, “Do we believe in the promise of America? And are we willing to fight for it?” adding, “And when we fight, we win.”

While Beyoncé has yet to publicly endorse Harris, several notable celebrities and politicians have already thrown their support behind the vice president, including President Biden, former commanders in chief Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and their wives, Michelle and Hillary, respectively, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Even Charli XCX has made her feelings known.
