Man arrested for alleged sexual exploitation of a child | Crime & Justice

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 21-year-old Louisville man on Tuesday on nine counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Louis Felipe Cuellar, 21, turned himself in and was booked into the Boulder County Jail following an investigation into the discovery of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Cuellar’s electronic devices in July.

The investigation began after the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received information about the distribution of CSAM from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Investigators subsequently determined that the suspect was likely located in Boulder County, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

After conducting an investigation with electronic service providers, the sheriff’s office obtained a search warrant for Cuellar’s home, located in the 300 block of Matchless Street in Louisville.

Detectives and the Boulder County SWAT team conducted the search on July 17. CSAM was found on electronic devices in the home.

Cuellar was arrested on suspicion of four counts of sexual exploitation of a child (distributing sexually exploitative material), four counts of sexual exploitation of a child (possessing video), and one count of sexual exploitation of a child (possessing an image). All of these are felonies.
