About the role:
As the Technology Strategist for Northern Europe, you will support the Northern Europe teams covering Benelux, the Nordics, the UK & Ireland, and other countries. You will work and support the CTO Labs and Field CTO Teams team at CrowdStrike. The mission of the Field CTO team is to identify and deliver new strategic directions and thought leadership to customers, analysts, media, and partners while supporting international customer, new market, and TAM growth. This includes driving strategy through cross-functional collaboration across the business including Product, Sales, Marketing, and more. As the Technology Strategist for the region, you will be responsible for creating and communicating the company’s technical vision and strategy on a regional basis, regularly working closely with the company’s Product CTOs, Product Managers, and Engineering functions. You will also collaborate closely with other groups within CrowdStrike including: Sales, Public Sector & Industry teams, Legal & Corporate Affairs & Public Relations, Data Science, Business Development, and Sensing Engineering. This role reports to the Field CTO Europe. With your extensive background in cybersecurity and your ability to think and act at a strategic level, you will drive CrowdStrike’s technical vision and strategy in Northern Europe. In addition, you will provide support for strategic assignments within the CrowdStrike organization.

What you will do:

  • Support current and new customers by sharing CrowdStrike’s long-term strategic vision and product roadmap, facilitating the introduction of new technology concepts to market, and positioning CrowdStrike as the leading cybersecurity thought leader among customers, partners, analysts, and media

  • Driving and communicating CrowdStrike’s technology strategy to customers, partners and investors, as well as media and industry events

  • Collaborate with governments and regulators on cybersecurity, technical policy and innovation

  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the cybersecurity industry, the competitive landscape and related industry developments to ensure we remain thought leaders who are ahead of the market with innovations.

  • Using stakeholder feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to the technology

  • Focus on technological improvements that benefit your region

  • Discovering new technologies that deliver a competitive advantage as part of the core platform or through technology partnerships

  • Providing recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Support clients and prospects as part of our Executive Briefing Program, virtually or on-site in Barcelona or other locations in Northern Europe.

What do you need:

  • The ability or experience to develop security strategies for companies and/or governments and to oversee the successful implementation and execution of these strategies

  • Execute the company’s security strategy with the ability to differentiate CrowdStrike’s products and services

  • Broad competence and experience in the field of information security in the areas of strategy, governance, technology and policy.

  • Demonstrate deep and broad knowledge of security issues and trends and be able to formulate a high-quality security strategy for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Possess or be willing to gain a detailed understanding of CrowdStrike’s security architecture, with the ability to articulate CrowdStrike’s security value proposition

  • The ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders, both within clients and within CrowdStrike, up to and including C-level executives

  • A history of speaking at industry conferences, published blogs, podcasts, white papers, books, etc.

  • Experience or willingness to support public relations and conduct media interviews (all media) on various security and current affairs topics, including crisis situations

  • Working in a role such as or similar to Regional CTO, Enterprise Technology Strategist, Strategic Consultant, Enterprise Security Architect

  • Practical experience in detailed research and analysis

  • Experience/exposure to the cybersecurity domain, in particular the threat landscape of national/criminal actors and their various methods of exploitation

  • Experience/exposure to Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, SIEM/Log Management, Mobile Security, Identity Security, Incident Response and other cybersecurity domains

  • Regional travel with some international travel is expected
