Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Smartsheet Solutions Architect to work remotely to design, implement, and manage solutions for contract deliverables to the U.S. Government. These deliverables are for specific contracts that we manage and include our travel and procurement processes for both Huntington Ingalls Industries and our subcontractors. Our solutions must be simple to enter data, capture all required documentation, perform all required calculations, route workflow approvals in the simplest format possible for the U.S. Government to review, approve, and track. The current solution developed over the last 12 months is with the Smartsheet platform and is expected to remain on this solution until a replacement can be developed that outperforms the current solution. The solutions architect must be able to manage and enhance the existing Smartsheet solution.

What you are going to do

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, configures and maintains Smartsheet solutions for internal and external coordination for the company and external customers/clients.
Ensures that Smartsheet solutions are available to the desired audience, with the right connections and security.
Develops, reviews, and communicates Smartsheet usage and security policies and procedures.
Designs Smartsheet layouts, graphics, color schemes, and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive solution based on the program’s communication strategies and goals.
Develop, build, and deploy custom solutions using the Smartsheet API
Lead technical design sessions; design and document technical solutions that align with business objectives; identify gaps between current and desired end states
Researches and evaluates new related technologies.
Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, configures, and maintains a web and application-based database solution for all U.S. Government deliveries under this contract.
Works with the team to develop new technology solutions or identify existing software solutions to existing project management problems. This promotes team understanding, minimizes re-creation of information, and communicates this information clearly to the user.

What we are looking for

6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 4 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree in a related field; or a High School diploma or equivalent and 10 years of relevant experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience configuring, customizing and deploying Smartsheet applications.
Smartsheet Core Product Certification
Understand key design patterns and best practices for large data volumes.
Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design and database design.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preference: Bonus points for…

Experience with Smartsheet Dynamic View, Data Shuttle, Data Mesh, Pivot and Control Center.
Smartsheet System Administrator Certification.
2 years of experience with the Smartsheet platform, including features such as Data Mesh, Dynamic View, and WorkApps.
Development experience (.Net, Java, JavaScript, Python, NodeJS, etc.)
Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating SAAS applications with various enterprise systems (ETL, CRM, business analytics, reporting, etc.)
Strong background in design/development of large web-based or client-server systems, or experience with the full lifecycle of software products.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation skills) and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical end-user personnel in large enterprises.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth).
In-depth knowledge of release management, code version control best practices, and deployment methodologies.
