Mafia: The Old Country has been officially revealed by 2K Games, Hangar 13

Fans of the Mafia series has something new to look forward to as it has been announced that a new game is in the works. 2K Games and Hangar 13 have officially announced Mafia: The Old Country.

The game isn’t expected to be released until 2025. However, fans of the franchise can expect to get more information about the game in December.

In the meantime, a short teaser trailer has been released to give gamers a taste of what to expect from the fourth installment. Mafia game.

The upcoming game was announced during Gamescom, which took place on Tuesday, August 20. According to a press release on 2K’s official website, the game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

The press release reveals that the upcoming game will be set in the underworld of Sicily in the 1900s.

“In the first three mentions of the Mafia franchise we introduced players to the world of the Mafia “Through gruesome stories set in different time periods,” said Nick Baynes, president of Hangar 13.

“In Mafia: The Old Country“We’re going back to the roots of what fans love about the franchise. We’re creating a deep, linear story with that classic mafia movie feel, visiting a stunning new setting, and delivering it all in a tight, focused package that’s perfect for fans of immersive experiences,” he revealed.

Mafia series

The Mafia series made its debut in 2002 with the release of the first main game. The game was followed by a sequel, Mafia IIwhich was released eight years after the first game. Mafia IIIwas, however, released in 2016.

The first game has since been remade and released as Mafia: Definitive Edition for 2020. Mafia II was remastered in the same year.

Both the second and third installments have story expansion packs that were eventually released. It remains to be seen whether the fourth game will follow this trend after its release.
