Keighley has set a specific date for December’s Game Awards –

While we’re still barely recovering from the lengthy Opening Night Live show that kicked off this year’s Gamescom trade show in Cologne, presenter and creator Geoff Keighley is already busy preparing for the next event: The Game Awards, taking place in December.

He announced the specific date for the festivities via a message on X. Of the three annual shows he and his team produce, this is usually where most announcements are made.

We now know it’s taking place on Thursday, December 12th at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles and will be live streaming on most major platforms.

And we also know to expect a more wholesome reveal for Mafia: The Old Country, which debuted during Opening Night Live with a teaser, and a promise of something more substantial at the Game Awards. Keighley also closed by saying that this year’s show will be “special.”
