Yogi Adityanath: Opposition tribute controversy: CM accuses SP leader of ignoring Kalyan Singh | Lucknow News

Those who spread the poison of caste system weaken India: Yogi Adityanath

HAPPINESS: CM Yogi Adityanath Wednesday accused SP leader Akhilesh Yadav of not paying tribute to the former CM Kalyan Singh when he died, but took the time to read ‘fatiha‘ about the death of a criminal.
Though Yogi did not mention any names, it was an apparent reference to Akhilesh’s visit to Ghazipur, where he visited the grave of gangster politician Mukhtar Ansari, who died in March this year, and read out the Fatiha.
Yogi said the opposition mourned the death of a mob “that shed the blood of hundreds of Hindus” as if a close relative had died. He was addressing the ‘Hindu Gaurav Diwas’ programme on the third death anniversary of Kalyan Singh in Lucknow.
Yogi recalled that Kalyan, fondly known as “Babuji”, sacrificed his government but did not allow firing on ‘Ram Bhakts’ when he was the CM. Kalyan had resigned after the destruction of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in December 1992.
“Babuji worked in adverse circumstances but did not deviate from the path of Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The result is before us (construction of Ram temple). Today, the followers of Sanatan Dharma all over the world are experiencing its joy,” Yogi said.
He said that Kalyan had a real combative personality right from birth.
“His journey from farmer, then teacher, RSS worker, BJP functionary, MLA, MP, minister and finally CM and Governor was a zero to zenith journey,” he said.
“It is not an easy task to emulate Kalyan Singhji. One has to choose the path of struggle, challenge, sacrifice and dedication,” he said, adding that Kalyan’s followers observed his death anniversary as ‘Hindu Pride Day’. “His life was dedicated to nationalism. He never promoted casteism,” he said, asserting that politics was neither a means of negotiation nor self-fulfilment for Kalyan.
The CM said that if the Hindu society remains strong, it will never be “divided on caste lines”. “Those who spread the poison of casteism are working to weaken India and tear apart the social fabric of the country,” he added.
“These people are dividing us among themselves. And under the guise of communal reconciliation, they are working to plunge Uttar Pradesh into the fire of riots,” he said.
The CM said that if there is no joint fight, these people will continue to deceive the people. “Today they are worried because their hooliganism and anarchy have been shut down by the double-engine government,” he said.
Yogi stressed that the rapes and sexual harassment that took place in Ayodhya, Kannauj and Lucknow are the real face of the opposition.
The Prime Minister said the people need not worry as the zero tolerance policy introduced by Babuji in 1991 is still in force.
“This two-engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have zero tolerance towards crime and criminals, corruption and corrupt people, whatever the price,” he said.
Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, UP BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary and Kalyan Singh’s son Rajveer Singh were among those present on the occasion.
